Sorry for the long lay off but man was it a busy summer, wedding, house, moving, getting the house in order. Hello Everyone, If you been reading the last couple of posts you know that my old company was bought by Sierra Systems and was going to let me go but they have now decided to bring me on a full time consultant which is great news!!!! So all is well and i look forward to my new career as a consultant. Thank you to everyone for your kind words and support during this time.

Some of you have asked where are the pictures of the house. I finally got the camera from Jenn and posted all the pictures to date. You will find the framing of the inside of the house, drywalling, pouring of the basement and garage. Primer coat and the painting of the dreaded 16ft wall and bedroom feature walls. Lastly the railing and cabinets are in the house. All pictures can be found in the gallery….enjoy!

Possession Date Finally!!!!!!

Hello everyone some very exciting news has happened over the past week, we finally got our possession date for the house…. July 12^th. The countdown has started!!! If you are wondering at what stage the house is at, it just had the primer coat finished. There will be pictures in the gallery very soon I promise, also some sad news TkMC (my company) has been acquired by Sierra Systems. Nelson’s last day at TkMC will be Aug.31 so I have 3 months to find a way to pay the bills . Have a good one everyone!!

Goosed!! My second round of the season

Well i finally got out again for my second round at The Goose this year and started off so well shooting a 43 on the front 9 but it all fell apart on the back 9 with a quad and a couple of doubles. Finishing with a 90 for the round. The Goose was in good shape considering it had rained the night before and greens were punched. I did notice that they are making changes to the course, removing water from 3 of the holes perhaps to win back some frustrated golfers who have donated plenty of balls to the numerous water traps along the course. All and in all it was a good day, just need to improve on that 90

Invitations are out!!

Well it was a very productive weekend as the Oilers won their first game of the series… just 3 more to go and invitations were finished and mailed out. Party favors were also finished this weekend. Take those two off the list only a few more hundred items left on my list. .

Well the furnace is in the house and that means the electrical is done as well as the plumbing. Shingles are on the roof and the house looks great. Went in this past weekend and wired the house with Cat 6 cabling for internet and other stuff, my buddy Mike came along to help and the whole operation went quite smoothly. Next phase i believe is going to be insulation but we will have to see. I’m told that house is moving along on schedule and should be ready on possession date. Cross our fingers

Welcome to Crankyface.com, the site has changed a lot and I hope you think it’s better than before (I certainly think so). First and foremost I have to give a big thanks to Mike Reeve for first letting me use his mikereeve.ca domain for testing and secondly helping with the new site. I have never worked with PHP and with his help, I am learning…Thanks Mike. This new site will have info about news I find interesting, sports I’m involved in and more importantly, updates on the big day that is coming up very soon….The Wedding! There will also be updates for those who care, on our new house being built!! Photos will be posted shortly in the gallery for your viewing pleasure as well. Trusses are up!!!

The roof trusses have gone up and man does the house look tall, I hope I never fall from the roof with my phobia and all (since someone wants xmas lights put up and taken down every year). The sheeting and shingles should be going up soon. Once the stairs are put in Jenn and I can finally go upstairs and take a look around. The pictures of the different stages of the house will posted in the gallery very shortly. Take a peek if you would like.
